The Way We Work

A garden, to us, is a conversation that unfolds over years. Our process is rooted in listening to the land, to the light, and to the families who live there. Our work is about intimacy and endurance. We design for the "unseen" inhabitants, the birds and the pollinators, as much as those who need a green space to read and relax.

Every project begins with a dialogue and a shared walk through the landscape. We believe that to design a garden, we must first understand how you move through it and how the light claims it at different hours of the day. This initial stage is about observation; we use site visits and hand-drawn sketches to map out the "use and flow," ensuring the design feels like a natural extension of the home.

Our work is a true partnership between the designer and the maker. We collaborate closely with a trusted network of craftsmen—from masons and builders to specialist artisans—to bring our sketches to life. We rely on the expertise of partners like Nestor and Pancho, who have helped curate and develop our sites for over 18 years.

By bridging the gap between a conceptual drawing and the physical terrain, we ensure that every stone placed and every tree planted is a deliberate contribution to your garden’s story.
